I am having the same issue several times a week sometimes. AT&T dosen't seem to care. They always try to blame the wireing or the routers in your house every time you call them evan when they have been checked a few days or a week before. They always want you to unplug this unplug that wait so long then plug them back in again. DUH, When you have a brand new router there's a very slim chance that it will go bad after a few weeks of use unless you drop it from a high enough place to damage it.
My routers and modems has each lasted several years. The U-VERSE one is new.
AT&T dosen't want to tell you that theit fiber optic internet service is crap. They like taking your money each month. I would like to start paying them intermittantly, like a payment every other month like the service we get.

If you havent download and try UVrealtime
then post pictures to this fourm (click the tree button)
the RG's will reboot once a cerent error threshold to try to resolve line issues
so to me this may be the problem
fyi I had a real time working with AT&T trying to resolve some of my issues and after using UVrealtime and the communities
it turned out to be a bat NID (the point where AT&T's responsibility ends and the carges begin =) )
