lost recordings

A couple days ago we lost about 1/3 of our recordings for no reason, the drive was only around 60% full and did not show any programs about to be erased. Any ideas why this happened??

Sorry to hear about your DVR erasing your recordings but, we'll be glad to help you. Which particular model DVR are you using (Model number can be found on the bottom left corner on the face of the box. ie, VIP1225, ISB7500, etc)? Also, based on your symptoms, it may be best to perform a Whole-home Power cycle reboot to your U-verse equipment. To perform this, unplug the power for the Gateway device and leave unplugged. Then unplug your TV receivers starting with the DVR. After the last one is unplugged for about 15 seconds, go ahead and replug your device starting with the U-verse Gateway device. If done correctly, this will refresh your network and most likely resolve this issue but, if it still deletes your recording randomly like it's been doing, let us know and we can help send you a replacement.
