U-Verse Main power box/backup battery

Since having U-verse installed we have had continual problems with this equipment.  What causes the power box to beep?  It's very annoying and happens daily & most nights throughout the night.  Both green lights are on and steady.  We've had repair techs here on other issues and I HAVE mentioned this issue to them but ultimately it is forgotten about by the time they leave.  Any ideas on how to fix this pesky little problem??

Which U-verse gateway do you have?

Beeping from the battery backup / power supply usually indicates that the battery needs to be replaced (or if not the battery, possible defect in the logic of the box).

I have the same issue and the unit has only been installed for 2 months. Every 5 minutes or so, it beeps for about 4 seconds. It is not the battery as both lights are green and if unplugged, it provides power for a few hours.

Back to support to see if they can solve it.

I am also having issues with this.  Our back up will go for a day no beeps...  then another day non-stop every 5 minutes or so.  We have had the box replaced once already in two months.  Is there anything I can check?  We've tried other outlets.  If I am going to have to deal with this to have u-verse I'd rather go back to the old services!  Please help!
