No Battery Back-up

When my uverse was installed the tech didn't have a battery back-up on hand [seems stange] he said that they would be sending me one... it has been 3 weeks and no battery back-up has arrived. I have the full U-verse package telephone, tv and internet. I tried on-line chat to solve this issue and they were usless. They told me to call the sales team which made no since to me because I was under the impression that the battery backup was part of the U-verse package. I am on metered calling and I don't think that I should have to use my minutes to pay for a phone call to ATT when they are the ones who have not held up their end of the bargain.
I tried to follow some other posts on this issue but their were too many acronyms [text speak] for me to make since of them. i would just like to have all of the equipment that was promised to me.
If someone can help I would truly appreciate it.

You should have received a BBU with Voice install. It's my understanding that there has been a recall of the Belkin Rev B BBU's so maybe that's why tech didn't have one. You can send a PM to Alex, one of the Community Managers, maybe he can help.

Thanks sent the note and a manager, Chris, called today and they are trying to find me a battery back-up. There was a shortage in my area.
