This coming Saturday, Nov 14, will be the last date/time to record the HDNet Test Patterns before HDNet (1105) moves to the HD Premium Tier Nov 16. If you don't already subscribe to the HD Premium Tier it will cost $5 per month and the test patterns are only available on HDNet.
Sat, Nov 14 - 6:30 AM ET, 3:30 AM PT HDNet Test Patterns
"Wonder how your home theatre is doing? Wish you had test patterns to help set it up? Well, HDNet is here to help. This short program will help you get the most out of your home theatre setup by providing you with the same professional test patterns HDNet uses to set their gear."
In the channel guide this test pattern program is listed as "Off Air" and lasts about 10 minutes. The above HDNet description could be misinterpreted since many of us consider "home theatre" to be in reference to sound systems only.
Many users have improved/tweaked their TV picture quality through SomeJoe7777's "How to Use the HDNet Test patterns to do Basic Calibration".
May want to consider recording this test pattern program Sat if you don't subscribe to the HD Premium Tier.
Note: Was going to post this in "Programming" but may affect equipment PQ so posted it here.
