Has anyone out there replaced their DVR HD with a larger one? I know AT&T's official stand is that this is not authorized, but when I was on the phone with a rep last week he mentioned that users are doing this (wink wink). He would not give me details and I thought I saw posts were users have done this.

If you are technically astute I would imagine you could do it. HOWEVER.....from previous posts (do a search) I believe I remember that only certain.....heavy duty....drives are recommended. I make modifications on my desktop PC all the time.....but....when it came to my DVR I preferred to have a tech come to the house and simply change it out for one with the double capacity drive. I'm not sure if you replaced the drive in yours that it would still be activated. Not an expert on that. Also remember that AT&T owns the equipment.....not you. If your DVR should fail anywhere along the line....post HDD switchout.....you might have problems with them. IMHO
Need help? Call AT&T at: 1-800-288-2020 then follow recorded instructions.

Replacing the hard drive in the DVR is a violation of the Terms of Service Agreement. Proceed at your own risk.
