How do you use pre paid data?

I have looked into these forums and love att service. I have gone to an at&t store to inquire about using att go on a smart phone. He told me i can. I explained to him that i WOULD need data and he told me to buy a phone via ebay/craigslist. So I did. Now I cant get it to registar my data plan I purchased.

I went back to at&t today and he told me I couldnt do it. I am now confused. I did see a pist that says to configure the wap information. But I cannot edit that on my phone. Is there a way I can get around this?

You will have to find a way to edit the programming for the phone to do a manual configuration of the required settings, unfortunately that will not guarantee that it will work or work for long. As for the steps to do that, it is against forum policy to post that info here and I do not know it anyway, you would have to google it to find that information.
