Hello,
My friend and myself will travel to the US with factory unlocked Iphones 4S and 5. We would like to buy an ATT micro SIM card with a GoPhone prepaid plan in order to surf the web, using data, text messaging and few phone calls (3G).
The available information at this time is really confusing. It is not clear to me if I can go directly to a ATT store to buy the microsim or if I have to buy a cheap GoPhone first. Can you help us with this issue?
Regards,
Omar.

Go to AT&T store and get help from them.
Cheap Gophone package only come with a big SIM card, not micro or namo etc!!
You may have trouble using Iphone on Gophone prepaid,I am using Android phone,
hope someone may help you with that.

Both iPhones should work fine on any prepaid plan that you and your friend choose, but you will not be able to take advantage of mobile data services. Unfortunately, you will be restricted to Wi-Fi usage only.
As for the microSIM and nano-SIMs that the iPhones take, that will pose a slight problem. You should buy two regular-sized SIM cards off eBay, along with a microSIM cutter and a nano-SIM cutter, if they are available. I purchased a microSIM cutter, so that's how I got my iPhone 4 to work on my prepaid plan.
