Silly phone upgrade question

Can I purchase a gophone off the AT&T website and just pop in my current gophone sim card and use it?

You need to activate the SIM and account that comes with the new phone adding some money and use it at least once. Then you can swap SIM cards.

I don't know if there is something in the terms and conditions that prevents you though.
