$2 daily unlimited plan costs

If I sign up for the $2 daily unlimited plan and only use my phone rarely, do I still need to have a balance? I am reading the Plan Terms which state, "Pay As You Go accounts will be canceled 60 days after expiration." I am concerned that in effect this is an additional charge, i.e.. I add a $15 card to my account, it expires after 30 days, I don't use my for for a few months and then find out my account is canceled. That would mean this plan is really $2/day for usage plus some $$ to keep it active. Is this correct or not?

You do have to refill your account periodically to keep the account active.  (The time frame each refill is good for varies - it increases along with the dollar amount of the refill levels.)  After 60 days beyond your last refill expiration the account will be cancelled.

So yes, from this perspective, it's not actually "Pay as You Go".  It's "Pay Periodically or Money for Nothing". 😉

(You "fund" your account with a refill amount, and then you use from your existing account balance by selecting the rate plan - so in your case, for any day you use the phone, $2 will be deducted from your account balance.)

Is there any way to keep your account dormant and pay a smaller fee than opt for the $100 yearly block of credit?  I just bought the $2 as you go plan and I'm kicking myself for not fully understanding this and am having buyers remorse.  At first I thought I would be only out the preloaded credit for the phone but now understanding that you have to signup for a new SIM card after 2 additional months of inactivity is really frustrating to me.  And my receipt says there is a $35 dollar restocking fee per device.

My reply crossed yours. See your other thread. It is the same with many carriers except T-Mobile's very minimal annual fee. But then AT&T gives you better coverage 🙂

That's true about the coverage.  Thanks for your response.  I think I will try it out for the $100/year to see how it goes.  This is my first try with prepaid plans so I'm a bit of a novice it would seem.

I'm confused...
I have $2 a day plan or thought I did. got the asus phone tablet and things aren't working right. Wants me to use $25 a month plan.
What is the $100 a year plan?
I use mine very little only for emergencies and special occations. I can't pay $25 a month.

Hi

I would be travelling in the U.S for a week. Keen to get the $2 per day.

Where can we purchase that sim card and activation at SeaTac aiport?

Thanks

Don't think there is any AT&T store in SeaTac airport.

Hello Community,

Please note that as of July 22nd, 2016, our return policy has changed regarding the restocking fee.

You can find all the information here.

Thanks
