at&t customer since 2005 and cant get early upgrade!!!

I've been with at&t since 2005 and I'm 4 or 5 months from a regular upgrade, but I cannot get a early upgrade because I don't pay my bill on time. It shouldn't matter if I pay my bill on time or not because I've been paying my bill for 7 years. I feel at&t should have some appreciation for customers who have done business with them for a long time. I pay 90 to 100 bucks a month on my bill and the way other companies having better deals, I would think at&t would take care of there customers better. Instead they want me to pay the regular price or go to craigslist to buy a phone. I just want to what sense does it make to deny a valued customer a better deal for a phone and to keep there business for another 2 years.

Whether to pay full retail or go to Craigslist is a persons choice. There is the option to simply wait for the upgrade date.

So you want AT&T to give you money (in the form of a subsidy of part of the phone price) early, but you want to pay them late? Do you see the contradiction here? Your timely bill payments allow them to make the subsidies so that you can get your phone at a discounted price. By paying your bills late, you inhibit AT&T's ability to give you a subsidy and still be profitable (a business' main goal).
Some people take these kinds of things personally, but there are about 100 million other AT&T customers, as well. What if all of them paid their bills late, but still wanted an early subsidy from AT&T? The customers soon wouldn't have to worry about paying that bill at all because AT&T would be out of business.

Really? You honestly believe you should be considered a valued customer when you don't pay your bill on time? Sorry, but that's a high risk customer. If you want the perks that go along with being a "valued customer" try treating them as a "valued service provider".

Well, I kinda see you guys point, I might as well just spend 300 bucks on craigslist for a used galaxy s3, I really don't want to be under contract anyway, I guess my feelings got hurt when I walked in the at&t store and fell in love wit the new galaxy. Alright guys thanks for the comments you really helped me see things clearer.
