Early Phone Upgrade?

Currently, I am in a two year contract with AT&T and it ends in November, giving me the option to upgrade and sign a new contract, its only 3 1/2 months away and I heard several comments about how if your in the 18-20 month range on your contract you might be able to upgrade early, I was wondering if this was true?

(I currently have an iPhone, did not like it at all, preferred my old Samsung, and wish to upgrade to a Galaxy Note with another 2 year contract if that affects anything.)

Check your online account. There is a place there you can check your upgrade status and when you are upgrade eligible. Or dial *NEW# from your cell phone. You will be sent a free text with your upgrade eligibility date.

It's definitely possible to have the upgrade available. Your online account should show if you are eligible. If you aren't, I would call AT&T to see what the earliest upgrade date will be. I have seen them move it up when the customer expressed interest but there are certain variables involved.
