First off, I am on the same billing plan as my Dad is. He has an upgrade available on his line and I do not until sometime next year. He told me I could use his upgrade to get the iPhone 5 this Friday. I know that it is possible for others to use someone else's upgrade to get a new phone but the problem is that I don't know if it will work with the iPhone 5. I have the iPhone 4, which has a MicroSim card, and the iPhone 5 uses a NanoSim card. Would I still be able to activate the phone under my number once I upgrade my Dad's line and receive the phone given the differences of the Sim cards?
Thanks!

If you are ordering the phone online to have it shipped to you, once you receive the phone, take your phone and your dad to a corporate AT&T store to have them activate the appropriate SIM cards on the appropriate accounts.
From what I've read, you would not be able to activate the phone on your account yourself since it was ordered on your dad's account.
