It's disgusting that AT&T is looking to throttle users with unlimited data plans.
Doesn't this company make enough money that they don't have squeeze our pockets further by limiting services we were led to believer were "unlimited"?
When the iPad 3 and iPad 5 arrive, I will be switiching to Verizon.
Is anybody else planning to do the same?

If I am going to have to pay more to use the data I was promised would be included as "unlimited," I would rather give that money to Verizon.

I would first like to know why i have a 4G phone and am barley getting 1Mbps Download speeds. this is ridiculous. I switched to a motorola Atrix 4G and got worse speeds than my old 3G phone. That is anything is enough to get out of my contract. I will give the Customer Service team another shot, but thy really do nothing.

the artix is NOT a LTE compatable phone. if you would read and do a little resercg, you would know thst. it also would not do you any good to switch to vetizon;they throttle as well. i had verizon before switching to at&t last year. i was throtyled by verizin worse than at&t throtyles.

It's my understanding the AT&T throttling situation is worse than Verizon.

Not even contemplating switching to Verizon until they've implemented the technology necessary to handle simultaneous voice & data.

As has been pointed out to you, the "4G" capability of the Atrix is HSPA+ and not LTE. Even if you had an LTE phone, AT&T doesn't guarantee coverage or data throughput speeds. The fact that you're unhappy with your phone's data performance is NOT sufficient grounds to get you released from your contract.

Preach it brotha. But throttling sucks no matter who is doing it.

Some good news surfacing today on this topic....
The company is making a change to its throttling stance.
They will now allow 3GB of data to be used before considering any throttling.
I am quite happy about this since I tend to use about 2.3 GB of data per month. That keeps me in limits without the threat of being throttled.
I still think AT&T will eventually be challenged again for calling their plan "unlimited" and still throttling subscribers at some designated point.
[Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate]

well this sucks, i use 7-15 every month and never get throttled ![]()
i always thought it was purely location based since nobody where i live gets throttled.
Seems like it will be across the board now
