NO 3G ? ? ?

Hi folks My wife and I have AT&T and when we first got our phones we seem to have 3G about everywhere we went. Now we barely have it in most places. I'm a shop owner ( Hot Rod Shop ) and we do travel and my employes travel along . Not lately I've had to ask them to log on and they have not had at any time when they have not had 3G ! ! They obviously have another service provider and it gets quite annoying and embarrassing having to borrow there service. Can you imagine the ribbing I constantly have to put up with ? But beyond that we are suppose to have the coverage and able to bounce off off towers, or roam. On some occasions I have been in a location and had 3G and went to browse to have the 3G shut off in that instance. What the heck goes on with this. Places we've had it now we don't the are is getting smaller by the day. Tell me what we can do ?

Anyone have input or the same problem ? Is it my iPhone ? Totally satisfied with the equipment but a bit discouraged with the lack of 3G connection.

Where are some of the places that you are having issues with?

From what I know of AT&T coverage is it is usually available in the larger cities and once you get outside of those cities coverage drops to EDGE or partner networks.

This is a customer peer to peer forum and the others that read your post might have felt that you didn't give enough information to propose any suggestions or they were not interested in replying. Also your post is a little hard to understand.

I live in a small town that AT&T covers EXCELLENTLY, but only with EDGE service. It's slow, yes. But while I am at home, I just leave my phones WiFi on. I have had though that issue you do with your phone switching to EDGE when you go to browse the internet. There is a place in my town where it says my phone gets "3G"... but AS SOON as you go to browse the internet, it falls back to the EDGE network. Every single time. It never fails.
