My phones has been showing "No Service" since yesterday 7/24/12 at 4:30.
I called customer service at AT@T and they claim there is a major outage involving several states (with Houston, TX part of it).
The funny part is my wife and several friends have phones 3 or 3 GS and they have no problems.
Is there truly an outage or is an issue with my phone?
Thanks.

There aren't any current issues in Houston so you should have your normal level of service.
It sounds like you may need to do some troubleshooting on your phone. Please try the following:
Turn your phone all the way off, then back on.
- if that does not resolve the issue -
Turn your phone off, remove and reseat the SIM card, turn the phone on.
-if that does not resolve the issue -
Pop into an AT&T Store and ask a representative to do further troubleshooting or send me a private message with your name, account number, phone number and the best time to contact you.
To send a private message, you can either click on the link in this message or click on the little blue envelope in the upper right hand corner, click "compose new message" and type my username in the "Send To" field.
As of May 1st, I am no longer serving as the Community Manager for AT&T. This account will no longer be able to accept private messages. If you have an account related issue, please send a private message to ATTCustomerCare.
