Data Extremely Slow in Lubbock, TX

While all of Lubbock's 3G coverage isn't great, the Texas Tech campus is slowed to a crawl during classes. I am lucky to obtain medium-range EDGE like speeds on 3G with a HUGE latency, and switching to EDGE makes data near unusable.

Signal reception seems to also be a huge issue on sections of campus. From my dorm room near the center of campus, I can hardly receive a reliable signal.

Any other Lubbockites or Red Raiders experiencing this? (Or fellow West Texans.)

I'm here for business and the speeds are amazingly slow. I ran some diagnostics and speed tests and the results were beyond terrible. The latency issues that you're having are going ot be more related to the upload speeds as opposed to the downloads. The DL speed was 2.8Mbps whis is really not that terrible. The real issue is the UL speed at 54 kbps. That's right kbps! My signal strength was solid but the speed is just terrible.
