AT&T customer service is truly the worst!

I sat on the phone for 3 hours being transferred from person to person with no resolve:
1. A charge was placed on my bill for a modem that was covered under the maintenance plan I pay every month.
2. Called to get the charge removed and supposedly it was removed.
3. Next day my internet service is turned off because I never paid for my modem. Really? Called customer service and got transferred 5 different times and each time you have to tell them who you are and why you are calling. Annoying to the highest degree! Finally got frustrated within hour number 2 and asked for a manager.
4. Finally spoke with a manager after being transferred 3 more times and explaining the situation over and over again. Still had to call the automated system to pay my bill and then call back to get my service back on for a charge that should have never been placed on the bill to begin with.
3 hours later, still frustrated, and have a true hate for AT&T.

Sorry to hear about your bungled billing and subsequent frustration in getting a resolution. That should definately not be happening.
I would suggest you send a private message, describing your experience and dissatisfaction, to the escalation team at ATT Customer Care so they are aware of this failure, and someone will get in touch with you within a couple days to follow up and to make sure you are fully satisfied with the resolution.
