AT&T Doesn't care at all about customers. Internet prices are too high for just what? Half a Mbps? I pay 36$/mo for 1.5 Mbps internet and there's 3 computers in my house. I'm lagging to death in games. I get over 700 ping. There is no internet that's meant for gaming, downloading and everything else. We pay too much just for crap. I do ALOT of multi-tasking and downloading. Every month I use 400 GB of data. Internet with data usage caps like Comcast and Hughesnet are a big rip off. I don't even get maxium speed. I always get 1.2-1.3 Mbps and then sometimes 768 Kbps.
So what's more important AT&T? The customers or your greedy sense for money?

AT&T Only offers us 1.5 Mbps. Nothing faster. I was on the phone couple days ago they said I had the best internet plan in our area. Even when U-verse comes in my area speeds will still be slow. I might as well switch to comecast.

Looks like I'm not the only one. I have the DSL Lite service (AT&T now calls it "Extreme" for some reason) and it was great at first for the $15 intro price w/3.0 Mpbs downloads. I could stream Netflix movies in two rooms simultaneously. Overall, I was very impressed with the service, especially since I could just hook it all up myself very quickly, without having someone drill holes in the walls.
Now, I can't even watch a std definition youtube video on one computer, with no other internet-connected devices active, without the video stuttering or stopping to wait for more data to load. Web page loads are sometimes nearly as slow as dialup. Some images on the page even appear line-by-line, just like with dialup.
At the regular price of a whopping $40 per month, and recent announcement of even more insane price coming soon, AT&T DSL is no longer a good value. The recent service downgrades make my Extreme only a little faster than dialup.
Just checked SpeedTest website today (AT&T recommended since their speed check is down for maintenance) and the results are: ping 30-50 ms, download 2.70-2.94 Mbps, upload 0.30 Mbps. According to SpeedTest, my results get me a grade of F+ nationally and a grade of D globally. That is pretty decent except for the throttled uploads, which might be part of the problem. Bandwidth has apparently been reduced, however, in the continued effort to provide better service (rofl). If I actually try to DO something on internet while speed test is running, the numbers drop fast.
AT&T seems to to have performed some service downgrades recently, no doubt intended to push me to even more outrageously priced AT&T services (I've heard from former customers that Uverse is horrible). But, given that most companies these days are run by birdbrains, maybe they are trying to drive customers away to competitors? BTW, I am aware that recent internettrafficreport data shows about six routers down in the USA. My slowing DialupSL troubles started before these router outages.
As for people in management being clueless and having bird-like brains, consider the management response to your complaint. Their solution is basically to try upselling you to a faster service. Talk about management being clueless! STEP 1 for AT&T to regain market share and profitability: get rid of the worthless people! (You're welcome for the free advice.)

I agree the AT&T website is being annoying. When I check for availbility it says
"We could not find the address you entered. Please check the address for accuracy and re-enter as needed. For the best results, please enter all address information, including city and state. (CA_ERR_003)"

I have a couple of problems... the most frustrating one of all is that I am unable to post new topic to find a solution because the program won't alow me to choose a board. Insult to injury.The inital problem for which I am seeking a solutions is this:
I am unable to attach either pics or docs to one of my att-yahoo email accounts. It is an "@att" email account.
I am, however, able to attach and send from #2 (@yahoo) to the #1 (@att) account. These are on the same computer. I have spent hours trouble shooting, watching tutorial videos As far as I can, the settings are the same.
ANY suggestions would be appreciated. HELP!

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having trouble, however, our records do indicate that you were contacted via email. Have you checked your junk and spam folders? It is possible that your email filters sent our email somewhere other than your inbox.

There's no way to contact AT&T. It's closed until next Monday and this is Friday afternoon just after five pm. There's no email address to send this narrative to. Where's email support? I've been looking for it, for an hour.
I followed the internet procedure to pay my bill every month since 2006, and made my payment September 3rd, as usual. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE PAYMENT PROCESS THAT SHOWS OR SPECIFIES THE BANK ACCOUNT BEING DRAWN FROM ... and you know this.
I changed bank account numbers in May, and I've been making payments since May with no problem since then. I pay $53 a month for dial up and another $50 a month to call my kids.
Furthermore, the bill reflects additional charges for I-know-not-what--$123 for What? So, I pay $100 a month for two lines, and that ought to be enough for a retired school teacher who stays home and writes books. I don't drive, so I cannot chase around the County to pay this bill.
I have been at this site since 5:30 this after noon and it is now 6:45. The site will not progress, the dial up just spins and spins and spins. And I am sure you realize this. I experience DELIBERATE SLOWDOWNS of service, repeatedly, predictably, five times in as many months. I believe the slowdowns are deliberate.
When I called in to check on the slowdown of signals to 0 kbs, the operators don't know anything; they're dumb as doorknobs.. And I'm sure you realize your robotic answer systems are humiliating and insulting. SEARCH RESULTS FOR : "PAY THE BILL NOW" ZERO. I DIDN'T ASK FOR WAYS TO PAY THE BILL. An hour AND A HALF ON THIS Website AND I CAN'T FIND A WAY TO GET BACK TO THE BILL!
Adding a new payment profile took an hour and a half! And I'm sure you realize this. I qualify for Lifeline reduction in costs, but I never get the paperwork I ask for.
We haVe no DSL service here in Anderson Springs, and I'm sure you know this. And my dwelling is buried in trees so there's no satellite service, and I'm sure you realize that,
I would have left AT&T long long ago if I had the option. And I'm sure you realize this. You know and I know, you would love to get rid of me as a customer because HONESTLY, I'm just a retired schoolteacher, not worth your precious time.
An HOUR AND A HALF AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PAY ON THE BILL. In three calls today, nobody could tell me how to proceed, from the letters I received today. I PAY MY BILL EVERY SINGLE MONTH same time of the month, since 2005.
I have to go into my history file and locate the url to pay the bill. The software does not take me there like the software did not tell me the wrong bank account was going to be invoked. The software lies. The links I go back to are now all dead links; nothing proceeds. Two hours, the bill is still not paid. I started working on this problem around 5pm, and now you won't be open again until MONDAY Morning. I still cannot get into the AT&T site to pay this bill down. Every previous link is dead. Effete elite! Contemptible. Phooey. TWO HOURS! STILL TRYING TO LOG IN. It is now 8:30 pm and I finally got the bill paid down. I will make another payment on the 3rd of October. Period. No thanks to AT&T. AND YES, I AM STUCK WITH YOU AND YOU ARE STUCK WITH ME! JOLLY!

As for Nedlm, it sounds like you may not be the account holder. Do you think the account could be in your mom's name? In order for us to access the account, we would need your mother, if she's the account holder, to verify some information for us. Otherwise, we will not be able to proceed without the account holder.
