The iPhone app to let me access my DVR is pretty cool, but are there any plans to provide an app to access U-verse voicemail? The Comcast iPhone app lets you access voicemail, but not the DVR.
The ability to play voicemail messages without making a call is useful when you travel to areas where cell service is expensive but wifi access is not. Plus, visual voicemail can show contact names rather than phone numbers, unlike the voicemail e-mail notifications you get. And while you could use your iPhone to access the U-verse web site and check messages there, it would be cumbersome to do that from an iPhone.

That is an excellent idea.

I second that. Personally, I'd rather have an app for checking voicemail from the iPhone than DVR control and it's probably a lot easier to write. I hope they can make one soon!

I know this post is over a month old, but I just wanted to reply, in case AT&T U-verse decision makers are strolling through the forums looking for idea, to put in a vote for wanting this feature.
Heck, after installing the U-Verse TV app, I immediately wondered why we didn't get an app that made it so much easier to manager our voice features.
I would love accessing v-mail via an iPhone app, but there have been times where I would've loved to be able to just fire up my iPhone and quickly put my phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode or take it off of that mode or change an number of settings easily.

Sounds like a great idea.
I'd settle for being able to forward Uverse voicemails to my iphone via MMS either manually or with a always forward to setting.

The closest I've been able to come is to get a text (in the form of an email) to our iPhone to let us know that we have a new VM. Unfortunately, the link in the text is usable from an iPhone :-(. An app where you can get notified and retrieve your messages or even better forward a copy would be excellent.
