Wireless Speed slow and inconsistent, Please Help

Hi, I have the U-Verse 18mbs package and it was working fine untill about a month and a half ago, I know have problems watching youtube and playing my PS3 I have constent drops form game and huge lag spikes. The PC that is hardwired has had trouble also with loading times on YouTube and other issues.

I have found that the Wireless-G chipset in the RG does not perform well under heavy load. To allow all devices to connect in our home, we use a Netgear WN802T-200 Access Point, which is a hybrid G/N, and in the front of our house, we use a Trendnet TEW-690 Access Point, which is a true Wireless-N Access Point.

Also having the access points connected through the Netgear GS-108 that we have for allowing more hard wired connections to our RG, since we have two Set top boxes, and a DVR, we get more throughput when pushing stuff between the access points for our printer, the PS3, and my son's laptop & my netbook, etc..

Now of course line side, you have a issue with a "Bridge Tap" on your line, which is showing in your bit loading chart. That has nothing to do with wireless, but can have to do with your throughput for WAN to LAN, and that your profile is capable of going to the higher as shown in the bottom box.

Contact ATTCustomerCare through a private message or contact Tech Support at their 800#, regarding the issues showing up in your Bit loading tab.

I have the Netgear GS-108 on one port on the RG, to that, we have the Blu-Ray wired back to the switch, and the two Access Points. The PS-3 is connected via wifi to the Netgear WN802T-200, same with the HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z Inkjet, due to both will not do WPA2(AES) over Wireless-N, but will do WPA2(TKIP) over Wireless-N, so that is why I got the Netgear WN802T, so that I had a hybrid Wireless-G/N A/P.

The Trendnet is for our iPhones, my son's Motorola Droid, the iPad, my Netbook. Only thing that uses the RG, is our wifi thermostat, and that is only Wireless-B, which is what I have the RG set for.

I had to play around with channels on all three, to find something that was not crowded by the other 12 a/p's around me, and also not to overlap the Netgear & Trendnet by anymore than one channel, while also keeping the RG on a channel that was not crowded, or would interfere with the other two A/P's.

aha now I see, ok thank you for that info I greatly appreciate your help. Update on the Tech Support so I spoke wiht them and they did find a problem in the line, but it took me 2 calls and a lie chat support to get them there. THank you for everything and I will try to do set up that you talked about or will atleast try. Thanks again.

I am having the same issue.  All wireless devices are running slow and/or running at inconsistent speeds - most of the time slow.

In fact, my phone, which has LTE, is getting better upload/download speeds than my wifi - which used to not be the case.  Not sure what additional information you have, but I have the same speed package - my wired devices are fine, I'm running Win7 and my ATT router is the 3801HGV - I do have an ASUS NT56U behind it.  Please advise.
