I was surprised when i signed up with UVerse for the price of UVerse Digital Voice Service. It certainly isn't competative in the area where I reside.

My Uvoice was cheaper than my landline.
With all the bells and whistles, my phone bill ran around $55. Uvoice is $30 (I think) plus tax.

As of February 1, 2010, U-verse voice for new customers is $35/month. U-verse voice is cheaper than what I was paying for my AT&T landline. Also, the price for Time Warner Digital Voice in my area is $44.95/month. My parents pay $39.95/month for Comcast Digital Voice. I notice that Verizon FIOS charges $39.99/month for digital voice service. U-verse does seem to be competitive with the prices charged by the other TV providers for voice service.
What price is the digital voice service with your local cable company?

Even with the increase, I think Uverse still cheaper than most of its competitors.

Compared to the prices that other TV providers (Comcast, Time Warner, Verizon FIOS, etc.) charge for their unlimited voice service, you are correct. U-verse voice is cheaper.
