Good Morning
I ordered uverse last year and my installation was completed sometimes in November 2011. Due to severe reduction in my household income, I cancelled my service around October this year. I had a balance due and recently paid my account off in full. The balance due was delinquent for about 2 months. After paying off my balance, I decided to reorder uverse and surprisingly it is now unavailable for my unit. I live in multi dwelling unit (MDU), so I decided to check the neighborhood and see if it available. My unit # is 6811, I checked 6801, 6803, 6805, 6807 and all these units showed as available. When I checked 6909 (adjacent unit to mine) and 6811 it shows only 1.5Mpbs (express) internet available and phone service available to both unit. I requested an address validation and got an email the next day stating to call the sales line. I did but all the can find is express internet and phone. My unit still have the backup battery installed and the outside INID unit installed as well. I am not sure why the service would become unvailable, I have been told that by multiple CS agents that since I disconnected my service, the slot I was connected to was probably assigned to another unit. The second issue is that I would have to establish a new account which would require a deposit of $449.00 base on credit check, the thing is that my credit is a lot better than the first time I ordered uverse in 2011.
For TV, I ordered dish network but would still prefer uverse service. I have talked and chatted with multiple agents but none have open a case to have a tech come out and check the address even after specifically requesting that i want someone coming out to verify the availablilty espeicially since I still have all battery and INID hooked up to my unit. I am not how to proceed from here at this point and needs assistance from the community. Thanks.

The late pay and balance due was the reason they want $449 (suppossedlly will be paid back as a credit of $5/mo when in good standing).
I'd just go to Dish Network and get service and forget about ATT, as that $499 fee is ridiculous. ![]()
