I have a family member that lives in NY (i'm in Florida) that says 'Private' on my caller-id all of the sudden. His number always appeared on my caller-id's but for the past 4 days it says 'Private'. Other people that call from the same area are ok, just his number. If he calls my cell phone his number appears. I had my Voice Profile reset but that did not help.
I just checked my call log online and it shows as 'Private' as well..

The private indication is generated at call origination. That line must be set to block generation of caller ID.

The call is NOT being blocked. When he calls my cell phone the number appears and when he calls my second line which is through MagicJack the number appears, its only when he calls my UV number. I also have the Anonymous Call Rejection feature enabled so blocked calls do not come through (which i tested and works properly). As a test I used a phone spoofing app on my cell phone which enables you to put anyones caller-id info on your call and when I put his number as the caller-id number and called the UV number the call came up Private.

The cellular, magic jack and U-verse would all have different translator lookup for the incoming caller ID at their location for ringing your phone.
So, the U-verse process could be broken. But, it is based on the calling number - not unique to your number. If you have a neighbor with U-verse, try calling that number from the family members phone.

Another thought - Send a PM to attcustomercare asking them to verify your location that translates incoming calls to verify that it is translating the incoming number correctly.
Provide both numbers. Refer to this trail as explanation.
