This Board Has Been Changed

I noticed this morning that there has been changes made on the format of this board. Everyone seems to be a "New User" no matter how many posts that person has made. The exceptions I found were
spd2demun and hpmsrm who are marked as CL-U-Professor and CL Net Czar respectively.
Even TexasGuy37 with 6143 posts is marked as a "New User".
I also noticed that if one goes to a profile of a particular poster, it does not say "True" or "False" to indicate if the poster is a U-Verse subcriber or not.
I wonder why the profile format was changed overnight. I hope others see this changes as well. I do not think my computer has a glitch that caused this.

I also noticed that my email messages between board users have been erased. Has anyone else had this done to them, too?

Not sure that I like it. Every message is showing as a new message. I know they were doing some changes to the boards to "improve" them, but not seeing any improvement with this change.

Yeah, pretty much a disaster -
It appeared that I was signed in. But, when I went to reply to a post it required me to sign in & did not accept my password.
So, I said I forgot my password & it sent me an e-mail with a new one. But, it was also supposed to have a verification response - which it did not. Got to go through that again.
I used to use "go to" to jump between boards. The whole world has been added to that list, making it useless.
I'll click on the link chain two clicks instead of one - but, still better than trying to find the one I want amoung the weeds.

I went through the same thing you did with the password and email. It took several trys of fixing my password and email before I could sign in.
I am sure everyone who has posted on this board a lot is real happy being labeled as a "New User".

That was a poorly executed update.
I had to retrieve a new password then send out a new email verification. The board will probably lose half it's subscribers after they can't get back in.

Yeah, I think that's the IDEA! They want to get rid of Utalk members; we enjoyed things that Wireless did not.

Nothing was said about losing all of our information--Bookmarks, Email Subs, Photos, Avatars, Siggys, Kudos (one poster had over 2000) & Tagging Leaderboards, Rank, etc.
The move is no surprise, the aftermath is.

Click on MY SETTINGS (next to your username at the top).
Personal Profile tab, then Personal Info, down to SIGNATURE (and Save Changes).

I dont think that they meant to S####### anyone over. I am sure that this will all get resolved if we give them a chance. We need to keep the spirit of the forums....we all know that Computer Joe and spd2demun as well as others are our experts and we will continue to look for you for guidance.

We need to keep the spirit of the forums....we all know that Computer Joe and spd2demun as well as others are our experts and we will continue to look for you for guidance.
You may know that, but someone new coming onto the forum for info or answers to problems, can no longer judge the worthiness or validity of what they read by the poster's rank and kudos. A high number of posts for a user doesn't mean much.
It amazes me how non-chalantly they dimiss it. No "sorry, technical glitch, we'll get it straightened out shortly" Just "it's gone, deal with it" "when life gives you lemons make lemonaide". Well, what do you make out of crap?
And what about the thousands of posts with all the big blank spots where our pics used to be. DOH!

Lyttlebit, do all ATT employees have to say that in their sigs, or are you stating that on your own?
I hope the settings we had in our profiles are returned, but looking at the other forums I wouldn't be surprised if ATT/Lithium will be going for a more uniformed look. I liked the avatars and sigs the way they were. But if this is part of the change, life still goes on.

Well I lost my log in "BeeBee" for some reason. Now I have to log in with my wireless name and password. This new thing is NO BUENO.

If you had a Wireless and a Utalk (or DSL) forums account under the same email it will assign you to your Wireless Account.

I followed your directions, but there is not a place to put your Signature under the Personal Information section. It has first name, last name, customer type, title, location, personal web page, biography, and private notes.

I do not have ATT wireless. I am a customer of another company. I wonder if I would lie, and mark the personal info as if I did have ATT wireless, if the signature box would show up?

That won't work. You have to supply your ATT wireless telephone number.
