Ive been on Uverse for a while now and have been pair bonded the whole time, I have been wanting to move to the the 24mbps package and have my profile upgraded as well for more streams. Im 3600 ft away from Vrad and they have no plans to add more Vrads in the near future, but my question is since Tri Bonding is starting to roll out is this something people already have or does anyone know what markets these are in and or being tested in?
I have been in talks with tier 2 support about what upgrades I can get and it seems kinda a dead end road so far and they have also contacted a national address team who looks into who gets what and it seems Tri Bonding is no where near me even though all they have to do is run a third copper line.

I have not heard of U-verse implementing tri-bonding in any areas, not even for live testing. If you're on a bonded pair connection currently, you're stuck with a 25Mbps/3Mbps profile, that's correct.
The only positive note that I've heard about increasing profile speeds is that AT&T had a press release stating they're planning on up to 100Mbps profiles in some areas and investing a lot of money into their existing infrastructure over the next 3 years. As far as roll-out plans and areas, that's information that only AT&T would have and probably not the ones that are customer-facing. NAFG (national address filtering group) handles requests for single to pair bonding and would not help since you're already on pair bonding.
It's more complicated then 'just run more lines'. It's probably not cost feasable for them, since you wouldn't be paying more than 5$ or 10$ more for internet speed. They also probably haven't even invested in the research to implement tri-bonding unless it guaranteed IPTV service out over the current pair bonding threshold of 5500ft.

It is much more likely that they'd implement a shadow circuit over the two pair you have than add a third pair.

Thanks for your replys and great info so far, my dad is a facility tech and I know a handful of prem techs and all of them have heard of tri bonding but said it seems to be in Texas only as a test as far as they know but they were made aware of it buy their supervisors.
I wish ATT would make more upgrades and make them sooner even at a $25 or $30 month increase I wouldnt mind if I could get double my speed.

Thanks SomeJoe, I have been reading up on the phantom pair as I have heard the name but never looked into how it works. Is this something that is out now or is on a roll out basis?

I'm on pair bonded install with an iNid and when I first had UVerse installed at my new home I was getting more feeds for tv, 4SD/3HD but that lasted less than a month and it was back down to 3HD/1SD. I only had 12Mbps internet installed and it's fast enough for me. I personally would love to see the new feeds go live soon. It's not as bad now that my father in law moved out to his new place, but still when my son has two tvs on and I'm recording a couple of shows it can be frustrating.
