We cancelled our UVERSE after a month of failure.

I have an installation date in 2 dats for the u300. Im kinda scared cause Timewarner told me so much bad stuff about Uverse. My biggest concern is what I can do with Uverse and my iphone over LTE. Im not home so much, so I rely on my mobile phone. Timewarners app was pretty useless, everything had to be done over home wifi. So, what can i do with ATT Uverse and a smartphone over 4g (not home wifi)?
Schedule and unschedule recordings. Delete recordings already made. View the schedule (obviously). Certain phones have the additional ability to watch downloaded or streamed content from the U-verse servers. You cannot watch recordings from the DVR, but the same content is often available to be downloaded to the phone directly.
You also get access to the Showtime Anywhere app, which will allow you to watch streamed Showtime content.

Really? Time-Warner told you bad stuff about U-Verse? How shocking.
I really thought that they would have told you about their competitor with all the same dignity and respect that the Republicans and Democrats speak of about each other. ![]()

I gleefully left TWC in Nov. '08 and have been happy with UVERSE ever since. Better price, better DVR, no EXTRA charge for "DVR service"
Instantly had dozens more HD channels and only a couple of minor outages since. I am in NC.
WIth the exception of the quality of the HD, which has improved dramatically, I continue to be happy.
Had Directv for 10 years, then TWC for 3.
I pick U-verse.

I dumped Charter for U-verse a year after beatfan4 arrived here, and a week after the e-mail and post card arrived in my mailboxes.
Never really have had cause to look back. Internet service rock solid. STB/DVR's a triffle more buggy than the Charter equipment, but have gotten much better over time.

I had TWC (cable, internet and phone in Hawaii), went back to Dish after 6mo. Went to Direct in 07 when Direct had more HD channels other than Dish's 5. Left Direct in 09 and haven't looked back. On my 3rd UVerse. 2 apartments and now my new house.

I use the app all the time to schedule recordings, and even review what's on my DVR/scheduled to record (I couldn't do this with DirecTV, and nothing was reliable with TWC). You are severely limited on what you can stream to your hone away from home, but that's true of all of the carriers. The channels themselves restrict what the cable/satellite companies can do.
But you can use HBO Go, Showtime On Demand, CNN, and a lot of other channels via their own apps for live programming, and a reasonable amount of OnDemand programming.
It's not going to be everything you want, because nobody can yet, but you'll be so much happier. Good luck!

Time warner and comcast should be as one. Their both horrible. Give uverse and all it's applications a shot. Trust me.
