fear not, according to posters on the avs forums Time Warner just picked nfl network and red zone. 

personally i wish i could option out of it, hate the idea of giving one penny to the nfl, but there ya go, you dont have miss your thursday night games

I hope you are not a fan of the NFL, because Time Warner does not carry the NFL Network.  Thus, you will be missing all of the Thursday night NFL games that will be broadcast on that network.

Another week without Pac-12 football. It's hard for me to understand why AT&T U-Verse has not added the PAC-12 Network to its channel listings. I can't get the Cal-USC game and I'm extremely unhappy about this along with a lot of other people. AT&T, you don't want to have the affluent and influential USC fans mad at you! I am seriously considering going to the Dish Network as my cable carrier.

Seriously what the heck. As an LA resident, I should be able to watch USC football. UCLA is on and even though they are rivals, USC has the more popular football team in LA. It's stupid that I can't watch the game.

While I  don't watch it, it's been around a lot longer than the Pac-12 network.

Besides there are some that would consider the Pac -12 garbage.  Same goes for the Big-10. It all depends on who your team is. I'm sure if there were an SEC network, fans of that network would be screaming until they got it and some would call it garbage as well.

While your post is true it's not exactly apples to apples. At least the big ten network covers 12 teams in seven states. PAC 12 is 12 teams. Longhorn is one school in one state. Even though the PAC 12 is brand new it is already on more major carriers than longhorn.

I had to scramble to find a place to watch the Cal-USC game this weekend and it was not fun. 

I am ready to start the campaign to get all alumni on UVERSE that watch PAC12 sports to band together to switch from UVERSE to either Comcast or the Dish Network.

I became a successful evangelist for UVERSE, got many people to switch to UVERSE from Comcast.   The internet speeds are comparable (with the higher tier service available), the television content HAD been comparable, and the pricing was favorable.  

I will see all of the home games in-person, but am VERY UPSET that UVERSE is abandoning a very large fan/subscriber base by not negotiating a deal with the Pac12 Network.   I am very confident that most that are as frustrated as I am do not even know how to register their complaint, find a forum like this one ..... that will change with time...  

I guarantee that UVERSE will lose thousands of subcribers and I will personally work towards shifting 1,000 myself:  friends that I got to switch to UVERSE from Comcast, alumni from Cal (fellow season-ticket owners), and I'll start joining Pac12 forums to evangelize a shift on those as well......    

I am even more passionate about Pac12 basketball than football and for those on this forum that root for Pac12 teams (despite the recent drought of strength), note that almost all of the upcoming basketball games this coming season will be covered only on the Pac12 Network.....   Please register your request with AT&T, on your account, to add the Pac12 Network.

I just spent over half an hour getting transferred around to 3 different numbers.  The last person I talked to was the first one that even heard of the Pac 12 Network.  He indicated that the channel request online form is the quickest way to pressure AT&T Uverse to getting the channel(s).  I'm asking everyone I know who has Uverse to do this.  Here's the link, it only takes a few seconds:

As big as the tv market share is in California, particularly Southern California, how is it possible Uverse is not carrying the new Pac 12 (P12N) sports network.  There was so much in the news about the various cable networks signing up for it (including, apparently, ATT), and how DIRECT TV did not, yet not a peep about Uverse.  Frankly, I fgelt bad for people to whom I had recommended Uverse when suddenly they were missing their favorite Pac 12 football teams.  Is Uverse making  ANY effort to pick up P12N????

Considering the price that the Pac 12 Network wants and the likely scenario that adding the channel will be one of SEVERAL reasons for another price increase (then again, prices would probably increase anyway)....I would think that even those who have NO interest in the Pac 12 Network (ala the high majority of the country including me) should pay attention to this for billing and price purposes.

AT&T typically has a price hike in February and it's usually only $5.  Unlike other providers who raise their rates over 20% in a year.
