Below is the latest notice of carriage agreements expiring found in the link below. Once again, I'm posting this strictly as informative. It is not intended to stimulate discussion or speculation.
Notice appearing in USA today on November 20, 2012
AT&T's contracts with programmers for the content displayed on our U-verse TV service periodically expire, but are usually re-negotiated or extended with no interruption or change for our U-verse members. Contract(s) for the programming listed below are set to expire as indicated, and AT&T is making every effort to reach a fair agreement to continue carriage. However, if a reasonable agreement cannot be reached with such programmer(s), we will no longer have the rights to carry their programming on U-verse TV. While the programming listed below will continue to be available to U-verse members so long as AT&T has the rights to carry it, if a reasonable agreement cannot be reached with the programmer the programming will no longer be available at that time.
For January 2013, AT&T's contract with the programmers for the following channels is set to expire or terminate. While the following channels will continue to be available to U-verse members so long as AT&T has the rights to carry them, AT&T may modify the channel location for the programming by moving some or all of the following channels from their current channel location to a channel between 9501 – 9599, or the packaging by moving some or all of the following channels to a different tier(s) which may result in subscribers losing access to such channels, and if a reasonable longer term agreement cannot be reached with the programmer, we may lose the rights to carry the following channels (listed in alphabetical order) on U-verse TV in January 2013: Estrella (channel 3024), GolTV (channel 656) GolTV HD (channel 1656), GolTV Spanish (channel 3115), and GolTV Spanish HD (3415), GMA Pinoy (channel 3683), and HITN (channel 3055). The following local channel in the Toledo, Ohio, area also may be impacted: WMNT (channel 10).
In addition:
(1) Effective January 7, 2013, Latinoamerica (channel 3046) and AyM Sports (channel 3119) will no longer be available on U-verse TV;
(2) Effective January 7, 2013, in the Atlanta, GA, area WUGA is moving from channel 24 to channel 32; and
(3) Effective January 9, 2013, in CA and the Reno, NV, area, we will remove SyFy HD (channel 1151), Bravo HD (channel 1181), USA Network HD (channel 1124), G4 (channel 149) and Style (channel 380) and launch SyFy – West HD (channel 1152), Bravo – West HD (channel 1182), USA Network – West HD (channel 1125), G4 – West (channel 150) and Style – West (channel 381).
In addition, we have made or will make the following channel changes, which are outside our control:
(1) Effective October 26, in the Oklahoma City, OK, area KSBI (IND) channel 52 and 1052 renamed to KSBI (My Network);
(2) Effective November 1, in the Wichita, KS, area, KGPT (Bounce) channel 49 renamed to KGPT (TNN);
(3) Effective November 6, in all U-verse TV markets, Mexico 22 channel 3022 renamed to Canal 22;
(4) Effective November 15, in the Orlando, FL, area, WMFE (V-me) channel 24 and channel 1024 renamed to WUCF (PBS);
(5) Effective November 26, in all U-verse TV markets, World Harvest Television channel 578 will rename to Family Entertainment TV;
(6) Effective December 14, in the Chicago, IL, area, we will remove WWME (channel 23) and add the national MeTV to channel 23.

#3 is kinda a big deal. Wonder what's going on with that, only a small area losing channels. Haven't see that before regarding national channels.

They are not actually losing channels. The "east" feeds are being replaced with the "west" feeds.

That's still a big deal for some of us - no more national USA-HD feed means no more live coverage of WWE RAW (the west coast feed will air it on a three-hour delay, just as the SD version does). I wouldn't mind, except that there has been at least one instance (the Lita "n_p slip" a few years back) where something that aired in the live feed was censored in the western feed. (Nothing new about that, of course - Saturday Night Live is notorious for this, and they even mention this in a throwaway line on an episode of Murphy Brown.)
Heads Up...Sever al HD Channels switched to west coast versions

I was looking for something to watch when I noticed several channels had no shows listed in the guide and the channel name was gone on the left side of the guide. The channels only had black screens when trying to watch. So I reset the box and let it reboot and now the missing channels have been switched to west coast versions and are now 1 channel number higher (example: SyFy HD on 1151 is now SyFyWH on 1152). Several other channels have also been changed, Bravo and I think USA network and possibly others. I went and checked the dvr scheduled recordings for SyFy & Bravo shows and they all said channel no longer available. Anyone who was affected should make sure to redo the record setting for shows that were set to record on any of these old channels.
I live in California in the SF Bay Area and assume its only affecting those of us out west.

Are you in the Pacific time zone? If so, try 1125, USA-West HD.

New to the Foruums so Hello everyone, but I have a gripe if I may.
It seems that sometime over this past weekend Uverse has switched from the east coast feeds to the west coast versions on, at least that I can tell, USA, Bravo, SyFy, TLC and a few others that I can't remember at the moment.
I fully understand if there are contractual reasons to do so, but am I missing a place I can look to see when these changes are being made ahead of time? We relized this last night when my wife sat down after dinner to watch her Real Housewives show and found out that it had not taped.
As I fiddled around I saw that the channels were now on West coast time, so I thought that since I have the series recording settings at "tape at anytime" that when the show came on at its normal 9 pm time, we would be ok. But of course life is not that easy and we spent the next hour and a half going through our series recording options deleting and re adding. Top that off by a few of her shows not showing new episodes right now and it made a night of not too much fun.
So again, is there a site or did I miss a mailer telling me of this so I could have done this ahead of time and not ruin my Sunday night? Pretty ticked.....

The problem was, the East Coast Feed channels still exist with the "old" channel numbers (but you can no longer access them); the West Coast Feed channels have 1 added to them. Your "old" series recordings tried to record from the East Coast Feed channels, which no longer exist.
U-Verse is not smart enough to detect recordings on East Coast Feed channels and switch them to the corresponding West Coast Feed ones. Besides, some channels (TNT and Cartoon Network come to mind) still have both feeds available in California.

Ok, so now I check my DVR and EVERY series recording I have that is occuring tonight is showing that the program I want to record is on Channel zero??? What?? Do I have to go now through my entire DVR and re find the correct channels that my shows are on and cancel the first and redo them a 2nd time? What about shows that are not airing new episodes right now??
And Last here, and I am sorry for the rant, BUT HOW COME WE WERE NEVER TOLD ABOUT THIS?? Time Warner will send out a mailer weeks before they ever made any channel changes...I guess this does not happen with AT & T??

If you go to you series you will sea a series record and where the channel number is there will be a blank channel, or if you look at your scheduled recordings and scroll through them it will show channel no longer available. I set up series for stuff that is in the guide but lots of my series are only run for 12-18 episodes so I need to wait until later in the year. This is a real pain. Also lots of the shows I liked I recorded the early run and record other stuff later in the evening so now I have lots of conflicts to resovle.

Are these all on the east channels that no longer exist in your lineup, or are these also on channels that were not effected by the change?

Go to your scheduled programs and one of the options you will see is recorded show anytime any channel as opposed to the option to record anytime. The anytime option will only record from the channel you set up. I always use record anytime any channel and it will look for the program on any channel. The only drawback is if it is a new channel the program may not be listed.. I always use the any channel anytime option and I have had a lot of programs change channels and time and have never had a problem with my DVR recording them.

The TIME parameter for a series recording does not have anytime, any channel as an option. The options are:
1) Any day at XX:00 AM/PM
2) Any day, anytime
3) Any day, anytime, once per day

I'm going to need some clarity on this.
There is no option for 'ANY CHANNEL'.
Series settings are channel specific.

Those options don't existing with U-verse TV. Perhaps the poster has a different TV service?

It appears Bravo will be moving back to 181/1181 on 2/19/13, so you may want to leave the old recordings set up.

If you are on the west coast, some of the feeds have changed.

Do you liive in California (or Reno)?
SyFy and USA HD switched from the "east coast feed" to the "west coast feed" in California. The new stations have channel numbers 1 higher than before' SyFy HD ""west" is 1152, and USA HD "west" is 1125.
Note that all shows on those channels will be 3 hours later than before - for example, Monday Night Raw on USA will start at 8 PM Pacific time on Mondays (instead of 5 PM), and SmackDown on SyFy will start at 8 PM on Fridays (instead of 5 PM).

In my case, I'm in Houston and these just don't show on remote web access. Shows will still record, etc, if set up on the DVR at home and they're still on the same channel. It's just remote access that's messed up... the "future recordings" or actual recordings show up as having a channel number, but no channel name. I guess someone fat-fingered an UPDATE query?

Normally on a weekly basis I use my computer to setup and verify the next weeks recordings on my Chicago Area Uverse.
I was shocked to see 1149 and next 1164. There was no SyFyHD at 1151!
I spent hours on the ATT Uverse chat line with ZERO explanation except license issue - maybe.
Most interesting is that 151 (SyFy Non HD) is present on the uverse computer site.
Even more interesting is that on my Real TV, 1151 shows up on the schedule.
So my question is where has the SyFyHD channel gone on the Uverse tv app?
