Yea. U-verse doesn't provide the very best in sports programming and doesn't have NBA TV. Hope you haven't been holding your breath waiting for it. You would be a deep color of blue.

The Olympics will be in London in 2012 and will not be shown on NBA TV.

This is by far the most interesting part of my boring day.  First ,for those who dont do your homework on a companies channel lineup and what packages are available are asking for what you get.  Then you come on a site where people can offer you help and with your first post you ream out Uverse for not having what you should have known they didnt before you signed up.  I can understand the long time people who post when they reach frustration level 10.  But in other cases such as contracts we have no idea what goes on in the board rooms and in the retarded fees asked for by these companies that own channels, just as we dont know what Uverse is looking to be 2 years from now.  The only thing I dont get is why people make it personal.  I know if i owned cable system A and said nice to know you take care that wouldnt be my response.  As a small business owner I know you cant be everything to everyone but it hurts to lose every dollar when its yours.  I just wish people would do their homework and some people would realize it gets emotional for some people so maybe everyone needs to ease up and hope it works out for the best. I guarantee this isnt that important to the 9.5 percent of the people not working and just happy to have a house. To the people who are happy to still have a house and a job i promise this is a lot od BS.

You probably meant the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championships which are taking place in Turkey.  All of the Team USA games are shown on ESPN (6021602) or ESPN2 (606/1606) and ESPN Classic (603).  There are also games available on ESPN3.com.

Thank you. It would still be nice to get the channel but I will shut up now To the other passionate guy that was offended by the complaining. I think people pay money to a company for a service they should be able to voice there concerns and give them an opportunity to resolve there issues. Maybe the lame threat to switch was a bit over the top. I do not contribute to the forums like others but I've been a customer with AT&T for 7 years and I reserve the right to voice my concerns. It would be nice if they could just be up front and say "were not working on it" or " were in negotiations" instead of just pointing me to this forum and leaving me the customer and others in the dark. Voicing your desire to have NBA TV is not a problem!

There were requests and discussion on this forum about the Tennis Channel and CBS College Sports Network going back to 2007.  Both channels were added earlier this year.  I think NBA TV will be added in time.  Everything just takes time.  We should all remember that the U-verse service has only been in existence for about 4 years.

I moved to an area where U-verse was offered in summer 2008 and subscribed. I had been with Time Warner where I had subscribed to NBA League Pass for 2 years, but TW is not offered in my new community. When basketball season rolled around I call U-verse to pay my money and sign up for League Pass. Here is what I was told by the rep - and I swear to God this is true: "The NBA will not allow U-Verse to offer the package. It is probably something to do with having an exclusive arrangement with other carriers. We offer a sports package where you can with see the channels all over the country that originate the NBA basketball games - Fox Sports Southwest, Sun Sports Network, etc, etc.". So. I signed up for the package. She didn't lie about getting all theose networks, but she didn't say they  black out every game where you don't live in the team's "home" area. Thankfully, when I found this out and complained I was able to get a refund for the month I had already paid. So, I just suffered through that season without watching much basketball.

In the summer of 2009 I called U-verse and was told "Just hang in there. We think we will have it by the time the season starts". Well, it didn't happen so I subscribed to League Pass Broadband, hooked my computer to output to the TV and suffered through a season of watching herky-jerky video.

This year I'm now looking into killing U-verse and switching to Satelite TV before the NBA season starts. Thank goodness AT&T is not "the only phone company in town" anymore.

Wow this post was over 3 years ago.

I just talked to att support through a chat and on the phone. The support there has no idea when this is ever going to happen.  They tried to point me to uverseone.att.com  to request a channel but that site never worked for me. This doesn't look good. I just started with uverse, so I'll see how long I remain a customer.
