We have a reasonably spread out house with some thick walls, and U-verse was just installed. Unfortunately, the wi-fi signal of the router doesn't extend throughout the entire house.
However, the technician did create a wired connection to the other part of the house.
a) If we connect another wi-fi router to this wired connection (which is connected to the current router), we should be able to extend access throughout the entire house, correct? Anything to watch out for?
b) Will the devices be able to seamlessly pick up on either one, or will it require unique setup for each device? In other words, can I mirror the setting of the original connection?
c) Do these questions even make sense?

tannerduke - You are right to be cautious. Connecting another wireless to that wire can be tricky, The simplest way is to get a newer device that is designed to pick up the wireless and repeat it. One such device has been recommended by BeeBeeSA -
at&t has a good price - $63.
I did get one & am happy with it - Iy does appear to be seamless - here is my experience
Got an e-mail from newegg.com for this one for $40 with promo code - EMCYTZT4659
Sounds interesting, but, is unknown.
Post if you have questions about my experience.
