RC you've definately lost it and the next reboot will probably bring the not subscribed screen. They finally found us. ![]()

Yep. Before I lost channel 810 it would freeze up and then after a few days it was gone. Oh well I wasn't watching it anyway. I had planned to try to remember to watch when there was a shuttle launch or something.

HDNet still does the shuttle launches, but not the shuttle returns, that's what the NASA channel was good for. ![]()

How stupid is it to have this as a premium station.
From AT&T's standpoint, it's not stupid at all, if it makes them more money.

I guess it's stupid from a standpoint that tax dollars pay a large part of the NASA project. This is a public service not private. I can't think that too many people watch it, more the a couple of million, and would pay the additional premium just for that channel. Don't get me wrong I would love to have it, but not at an additional cost. I already have more stations than I need. This is like saying that we should pay extra for CSPAN

And... now I don't have it. I have the "Not subscribed" screen. I called tech support and they said it was part of U200 and I needed to reboot my RG.... didn't work. Bait and switch... bait and switch.

Nope, it's part of u300. I have u200 and had it for 6 months before they finally figured it out and got the 'not subscribed' screen too. A free public service channel that many other providers give all their users unlike ATT. ![]()
But this Saturday, HDNet is having the next shuttle launch in HD 7am EDT. ![]()

I lost it as part of U200 in Detroit. When I called to complain, they gave me a "free 3-month upgrade" to U300 so I can continue watching. However, I must pay $20 more after the trial to watch any further. It's unfair, like a strong-arm of their customers.
My problem is that I do not watch many channels, so paying more for an upgrade does nothing for me. I don't watch Showtime movies or any of the extra programming in U-300. I will not submit to the blackmail, and will not upgrade.
PS - I just checked the programming schedule for U300 and U450, and NASA-TV is not posted in either. Is this an oversight, or are they removing it from U-Verse entirely?
People, it's time to complain - LOUDLY. And don't upgrade - It's the only thing they understand.

Nasa TV has not gone anywhere. It is still channel 264 on the U300 and above packages.
