Could someone help interpret what this graph is saying please.
I'm on the 12/1.5 internet plan w/ VOIP phone service. Thank you.

If you can post these additional screenshots:
IP Profile
Error Table
We can then comment on your bitloading screenshot w/all the needed info. ![]()

From your error counts, something is definitely wrong. The RG didn't get a lot of uplink bandwidth in the low frequencies, which was making me think filter issues, but you have VOIP, not POTS.
It'd be worth calling AT&T U-verse Technical Support and having them look at your line.

Thanks for the reply JefferMC.
I had a lineman going through my line all day today. It seems be more stable at the moment but I guess only time will tell.

I glad things are better.
Why don't you repost your stats now. And check (or uncheck, I forget) the checkbox to hide your external IP address first so that the mods won't remove some of your shots.

Hi JefferMC,
The line tech told me last evening that he was going to send a premise tech to look over things as far as wiring goes as it appears that the line was losing about 10Mbps somewhere between the NID and the router.
Looking at this info, I don't really "see" much of a difference but that's why I posted the screenshots on here. I have a networking background but not in this area.

No, not much difference. A little better on the low frequency upstream, but nothing substantial. I the decay looks abnormal, but I don't want to jump to a conclusion there.
Your FEC error rate is kind of high, and you really shouldn't have 1,000 uncorrectable errors in one day. Your inside wiring could be at issue, depending on whether it's a dedicated run or not, and the conditions of the connections.

All of this kind of goes along with the stability issues I've been having. Hopefully someone will take care of it with the wiring in the house. The lines in the house have been checked out NUMEROUS times n the last 2 months but as a last ditch effort one of the techs converted to coax at a wall plate and the lineman didn't seem to like that aspect.
My latest info.........

As an aside question....can you give me an idea as to why I'm not using the frequencies above 6.2 Mhz? If I'm reading the docs correctly it would be because of a dirty line.

Dirty, or just too long. The lower frequencies are "easier" for the modem to use, as distance and/or other adverse effects increase, the higher frequencies are affected more than the lower ones. Most people's bitloading graphs start high on the left (low frequencies) and work down to nothing on the right.

I can't see any significant difference in the bit loading. Whatever was changed between the last two shots didn't matter one bit.

That's kind of what I thought too.
My FEC rate seems to bounce a bit. Sometimes 0 and others in the 20s to 40s.
My connection does seem to be more stable but data rates still go up and down. Interestingly enough, my upload speeds don't seem to be as steady as before. They are mostly within 20% of 1.5Mbps but sometimes down in the .90 range.
The errors seem to have gone down too.
This stuff is VooDoo.![]()

Managed to capturea highFEC stat.
Also, my allocated bits sem to be higher than the max but it's reading OK.

232 recoverable errors per minute is higher than 0 (ideal), but not necessarily an issue. Those errors are all being corrected. CRC is zero, and that's a good thing.
