Not stupid at all. ![]()

Be aware, you will be able to see your photos in the post, but the rest of us cannot. Photos require Mod approval, so Wendy will be by shortly to do that for you.

I posted on this thread when it was only 2-3 pages long; before anyone recommended calling the Sales Dept. I had called TS to get upgraded and was told I could but my bill had just went due the day prior so he told me to call back after I paid my bill. I did so yesterday. The first TS Rep I got took forever and then told me it wasn't available unless I lowered my Internet speed. She told me to try back in 5-7 business days. Unsatisfied, I called again and got a very nice guy that within 3 mins said I was taken care of and I would now be on the 0/4. I was at work so I wasn't able to reboot anything. I get home and all boxes still show 1/3 max, 2/2 ingress. Max bw was still over 32M. I reset all boxes and still the same. I rebooted the modem (power cord) and now all boxes show 1/3 max, 1/3 ingress, but now my max bw is 26.9M. Did they lower my profile from 32/5??? Why are they not showing 0/4? Please help cause I don't wanna call again, but if I do, from the looks of the thread now, I'll be called Sales not TS. Thanks, AA
I believe you are referring to the bandwidth allocation that you see for you WAN Profile and Ingress Profile from your TV screen and NOT the profile that you see in your RG. Is that correct? If true, what you see is correct. See the thread below.

Also, the 4 HD Profile has not been released in every market as of yet. It may not be available in your market. Where are you located?

Thanks Spd. TG- I checked with our local UV Network Lead (I'm a Mobility Employee) and confirmed it is available in my area. I'll get the pics up shortly.
Ok. Did you see my question about where you viewed the bandwidth?

Thanks for the info. Your bandwidth numbers are correct. The update to the 3 HD profile changed the allocation to the WAN Profile and Ingress Profile. You are still on the 32/5 profile.

Since, you are on the 32/5 profile you qualify for the 4 HD pofile, if it is available in your market. The screenshots that you posted do not have an impact of that. You indicated that you have been told that the 4 HD profile is available in your market. I would suggest that you call the Sales Department and request the upgrade.

Anyone else notice that he seems to be getting ~9.5Mbps HD feeds instead of the standard ~5.7Mbps? Curious ...

Hi-I just upgraded to 4HD the other day and am having severe pixiallation and freezing of the screen for several seconds. I would appreciate any insight to what I should do. The funny thing is that only 2 HD/1SD is being used and 1 recording HD is taking place. I never had this problem before yet I have the 32/5 profile.
Bob.

Hopefully you won't have to be downgraded to a lower profile. When the shots are viewable they may show another cause for the freezes. Do you have phone service from ATT? If so, does your phone service and internet service go out as well?

Nothing else is affected. Only the glitches with the tv.

See the red in the ip/profile tab, getting 43,604 corrected blocks/min, could be causing some of the problems as too many FEC errrors at a time can overwhelm the processor and cause picture problems.
4 HD may just not be viable for you there Bob. Call TS on the # in my sig and see what errors they are seeing, causing the problems. Good luck ![]()

Good deal! Did you ask to be upgraded, or it came through automatically?

Yes, Chris, I saw it immediately since I've never had it before. Can you tell me why or how the simple fact that ATT changed my profile to 0/4 changed anything coming into my house? I still have the same number of tv's (both SD & HD) and the same DVR recording the same shows...! How did expanding the # of HD channels available to me alter anything when the stats for everything else remained the same??? Nothing on my end changed except a #-the number of HD channels available! The numbers that are displayed on my stats page have not changed in the least except for the FEC errors, which I do not know why would begin to become a problem unless you add sets or different streams. As of this PM, I have not had any more problems w/the pixiallation or freezes yet, but I will continue to monitor it. FYI, as you saw from my stats page, I do meet all the criteria for the 0/4 setup.
Thanks for your input.
Bob

Live in The Colony, TX (suburb of Dallas). I noticed I was automatically upgraded to 3HD within the past week. So I called Sales today to see if I could get 4HD and after checking he said I wasn't eligible yet because of low bandwidth.

Click on this link, download the Realtime App and install it. You can get a realtime view of your services, which includes streams, your harddrive space and time left on your drive, and much more. It can even show you what profile you are on.

Live in Mesquite,Tx and I just got 4HD. I had to call Customer Service, because they had downgraded me from 1SD/3HD to 2SD/2HD, for some reason. I asked them to go ahead and switch me to 4HD instead and they told me I was too far from the VRAD, 2550ft. I was told the same thing when I switched to 3HD and asked them to go ahead and try it. Sure enough, 0SD/4HD works great! I guess I have some good cables running to the house or something.
