Hello, very suddenly my 5 year old sbcglobal.net account, which I use very actively, just stopped working. I assumed that maybe the password got hacked or changed. When I tried to change it, the troubleshooter told me the account was inactive. I can't seem to get any further. This is my primary email and I receive TONS of very important email here. Anything I can do to get this fixed?

Mine, too!!! My 10-year old Bellsouth.net account has been locked out! Get "inactive account" message when trying to login. I have spent a total of five hours on the phone and internet chatting with a total of 8 AT&T reps and have yet to get this resolved. Offers have been made to help me setup a new account (which is NOT a solution), and I've had to wait 12 hours to try again to have them reset it. Now I am past 24 hours and still NOTHING! No one seems to know how this happened or how to fix it! Most recent call was passed to three people and I finally got a recorded message that my call was unable to be connected and that I should hang up and call the toll free number again. Unbelievable!!

Same here -
Bellsouth.net email account suddenly stopped working yesterday,
(on both my computer and my phone - both of which were receiving bellsouth.net email OK up until yesterday)
Says "Your account is inactive" when I try to go in to reset the password.
Has anybody had any luck finding a fix to this?

I am also having the same problem.
I have not received any email since Dec 27th.
I dont know what has happened but I keep trying to resolve this with AT&T help and support but no one
seems to know what to do. I have had this email for at least15 years and now they want me to apply for a new email.
everybody and everything I do is thru this email account.
I am sure that someone out there has the answer.
There has to be a reason why it would come up as inactive.
If anyone comes up with a answer ..Pleas let us know...

It appears that you need assistance for a business related service. These forums are primarily for consumer products and services.
I would suggest posting the same message in the AT&T Business Community. You should get a quicker response there.

Same thing happened to me too. What makes my sbcglobal.net account become inactive. I know i didn't change my password and now I can't access.
DId anyone get an answer.

I am having the same issue. Friday night my sbcglobal.net account, which I have been actively using for over 5 years suddenly became inactive. AT&T support has been of no help as I don't have an AT&T account.....
Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
