I'm using Outlook 2010 as a client to access my email. Just within the past couple of days, it seems the emails Outlook picks up from my inbox are no longer being deleted, they're being moved to the 'trash' folder. Yes, the box to leave a copy of the message on the server is unchecked. I have not changed the account settings in Outlook since they were first created a long time ago. What has changed on the server side that emails are no longer fully deleted? Why are they now just going to 'trash' after Outlook picks them up? When they're picked up by Outlook, I don't want them on the server anywhere. In the Outlook log, I see where the server sends back a message '+OK message 1 marked deleted.' but it's not really deleted anymore!

Same here. I just spent a whole hour on the phone with tech support who did NOT understand the problem and just blamed it on my Incredimail, which has nothing to do with the problem. I am very frustrated right now. When they make changes, why don't they let tech support know? I hope someone can come up with a solution.

We apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing due to the issue with the e-mails and would be glad to fix the issue.

That was useless. Spent another over 30 min. to get the same answers from AT&T. Insisting no changes were made and it is a problem with my email client. I am really frustrated with you guys right now!!! But I should PAY EXTRA for another tech support ? Inbelievable.

Catmom3 - thanks for saving me the trouble. I assumed I would have that experience and didn't bother. It's always something on the user side with these people. I'm the head of IT for an international organization. I know this isn't a problem on the client side but no amount of pleading will persuade them that they changed something on the server side.

Yep. He told me I had made a change in one of my settings... and when I kept arguing with him he gave me the number to yahoo tech support since they control AT&T's mail.

It's me again. This is honestly making me crazy. The at&t useless tech support guy gave me a link to go directly to yahoo for answers. Yahoo chat help. They won't even talk to me because of my at&t ID and sent a message to contact them. I tried the 2 phone numbers he gave me for yahoo. One is disconnected and the other one makes you listen to a menu. When I chose technical support, a recording said to go to their online help page. No other options. I really hate AT&T right now.
