We recently upgraded to an iPhone 5 and immediately began having email problems with just one account: firstname.lastname@example.org. I think the problem may be with the Yahoo servers because...I get an message in Entourage that we can't send or receive email because either the password or security settings are incorrect. We have reset the password and we know it is correct. ConnectTech charged us $50 to go into Yahoo, check the mail and then advise we restart Entourage. Viola! email worked both through Entourage and the iPhone...for a few mintues. Now we have the same problem and the same solution works, but this is no way to operate. If we are away from the desktop and can't easily reach yahoo.com we have no email service on the iPhone. I've deleted the account on the iPhone and restablished it. I've cleared the cache on Firefox. I've verified the email address with Yahoo. I have no idea how to resolve this problem. AT&T has provided little help. It seems to me the problem must be within the Yahoo email server, but I am open to any suggestions to resolve the problem.

Check the settings, to make sure that you have the following in Entourage:
POP: pop.att.yahoo.com, Security SSL, Port 995
SMTP: smtp.att.yahoo.com, Security SSL, Port 465.
If I had to make a fair guess, Entourage has the Yahoo imap server info in there, and just needs to be deleted, and setup with the above info.
