A scam targeting AT&T wireless and text messaging customers gives scammers access to your myAT&T account to make changes, order equipment, or obtain personal information. Opening links or visiting untrusted websites may result in you accidently downloading software or viruses to your PC or your wireless device.
The scam is received as a phone call or text message enticing you to claim an AT&T reward by logging into your myAT&T account. The fraudulent link redirects you to a non-AT&T website that may look like the real thing, but it is a phishing site used to capture personal information.
