I take care of a bunch of phones here at work, and had some put on suspension during these slow times. Now I called to re-activate one of them, along with the old DataConnect Wifi plan at $60.00. We use the phone to tether to a PC in our field offices. I always thought this was an unlimited plan.
Today the rep tells me there is only a 5gigabyte tether plan now, so we went with that. She wasn't very knowledgeable, and I wasn't either LOL. But is there still a 'unlimited' plan offered? She looked them all up but could not find an unlimited tether plan. BTW, we're using an old Motorola V551 clamshell phone, they worked fine for years, and still do.
Thx
MN

There is no unlimited tethering plan available. Normally, only features currently available in the system can be added to an account. So any features that have been removed from an account and have been discontinued by AT&T, they usually cannot be added back to an account. All current tethering plans have a 5GB limit, at least on the consumer side. For the most part, the old phones will still work, but the data plans just now have a 5GB limit.
Since it sounds like you're business account and not an individual account, you should be talking to a business customer rep (if you weren't already.) The business side has things not availalbe on the consumer side so if the standard 5GB tethering plan is not sufficient for you, then perhaps the rep can work with you to find configure the features you need.
