After they update it, restart your phone and test the MMS. If that doesn't work, have the Customer Service Representative perform further troubleshooting.

Hey christopherjones,
I have called them and they have put in the correct IMEI and reset my network on their side. However, they told me they can't do anything else because it is not a at&t branded phone.
I've done a little research and found Samsung Eternity (A867) to be extremely similiar. As you can see, I have used the same settings http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB9882
I've tried the following settings:
- Set Name: AT&T MMS
- Access Name:wap.cingular
- Auth Type:None
- User ID: <blank>
- Password: <blank>
- Protocol:HTTP
- Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
- Proxy Address: wireless.cingular.com:80
- Linger Time (sec.):300
Did not work.
I am currently out of ideas.

What kind of data plan do you have?
For Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) to work, you must also have data access.
With the type of phone that you've got:
- Data unlimited for non-smartphone (MMS will work)
- Pay per use data (MMS will work, but you will not be charged extra; MMS just needs a medium to travel)
- Data Block (MMS will not work if data is blocked)
If that doesn't resolve your issue, then I would recommend getting an AT&T branded phone. ![]()

Hey, thanks again for your reply.
I do have unlimited texting plan (picture/media)
no data unlimited plan though, i do not needed
and there are no blocks on my account since i have asked them.
Well, I cannot afford another phone currently, plus this one is a great phone. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that this phone does not support 3g?

Honestly, to be sure, I would call 611 one more time to make sure that you have Pay Per Use Data, or check on myAT&T account.
Because if you don't have pay per use data, then MMS absolutely will not work.
Other than that, make do with what you've got.

Anybody else have any ideas?

Wilcre,
thank you for your reply but this is not a smartphone, and it does not have those other fields for ports, etc. Not only that, but the phone seems to have separate settings for internet and mms, so it uses one configuration at a time so to speak. Not sure if that makes sense, but if it doesn't I could clarify per request.
Other than that, still can't recieve or send pictures.
:/

i'm currently in the nyc area and recently my phone has stopped being able to send or receive picture messages or maintain any data connection. i have not modified any of my mms settings and i'm also on 2g/edge network.
