Wireless Bridge to 2Wire 3801hgv
Hello. I need help setting up my gear. I've been trying on my own but haven't been successful. I'll try to explain the best that I can. Please let me know if any additional information is needed.
I have a 2Wire 3801hgv accessing my att uverse and acting as the gateway router. 2Wire is located in my living room. I'm trying to connect an Asus EA-N66 to the 2Wire as a wireless bridge so I could connect a WD My Cloud in my office. I'm hoping to connect a gigabit switch to the Asus so the My Cloud will be accessed by the office computer on the same switch. Based on the Asus configuration info, it says it has a connection to the 2wire, but I can't get any internet access. If I tried loading a web page before rebooting the Asus, the web page will come up and then it seems to lose connection. The 2Wire sees the Asus and gives an ip address. What am I missing? Thanks for the help.
