I had the same problem. I changed from a Siemens DSL modem with a Linksys router.
The Linksys router had an IP address of 192.168.1.1
I had previously allowed all of my computers to have access through my firewall settings
The problem of them not seeing each other arises when you change your router which now has a new IP address.
The 2Wire router has the IP address of 192.168.1.254
I logged onto my 2Wire router using the Internet explorer using the 192.168.1.254
The opening screen displays all of the devices that are connected to my 2Wire Router
By clicking on "Device Details" for each connected device I see as an example my Desktop IP address of 192.168.1.67
I note all of the IP addresses which are connected to my router.
I entered my fire wall settings ( I use "Zone Alarm" as an additional firewall for each of my computers )
I had to enter the new IP addresses into my firewall program, which my newly installed 2wire router uses.
Voila ! ! ! once that was done all of my shared computers started talking to each other again.
I hope that helps.
