Has anyone used the new Pace 4111N DSL Gateway. If so have you had any signal drop like the 2Wire 2701-HG-B
That At&t says is not going on or does not want to admit it. I sure hate to buy a new one an have the same problem.

Update
I bought the new Pace 4111N router from AT&T online store. Had it running
48hrs now with no signal drop like the 2wire 2701. Of course that may change
An if does will update again.
Was able to set up some IP cams using port forwarding in router system settings
With not too much trouble. Almost the same settings as the 2wire 2701 but
different. If anyone finds a user guide for the Pace 4111N please post link.

I no longer have ATT DSL (Uverse now), and was just trying to help out. ![]()
I read another post where David (an ATT employee) mentioned something about not having specs on these models yet.
He might be one who could give you a link to a manual, or help with setup.
You can contact David here.
In the meantime, I'll see if I can find his post (again) where he mentioned this router.

That's too bad about no Uverse.
And you're welcome. ![]()
I couldn't even see much on Pace's site unless I logged in, and was not able to do that. I, also, came up with nothing in searching the Net.
If you don't hear back from Pace, check with David. He and his team are really good about finding info. Good luck!

Yes if Pace does not get back to me I will give David a try. I am sure Pace will tell me to check with
ATT support. Just checking the ATT web site an noticed they have pulled the Pace 4111N from site
an not showing it for sell now. Not sure if they ran out of them or something else is going on.I may
have no support from ATT now.
They still show the Netgear 7550
Again thanks for help

Ozarktrading - Please, please, please tell me how to port forward on the 4111N router. I've tried to go into Firewall, Applications Pinholes & DMZ and tried the individual option with no luck. I'm trying to port forward port 5000. Please let me know {personal content removed for safety}

gnotter,
Here is how to set up port forwarding for 4111N:
Login to the gateway(http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/39529-42-questio
Click Settings-Firewall-Applications, Pinholes and DMZ
Select your computer,
Choose Allow individual application(s)
Click Add a new user-defined application
Fill Firewall Application Profile Definition and click Add to list
On the page of Applications, Pinholes and DMZ click User-defined under the column of Filter Applications by, select the application you just defined under the column of Application List, click Add to add it to the column of Hosted Applications. Click Save on the right bottom of the page. Done!

Okay, just got this thing because we started having signal problems on our 2701... NEVER had probs on the 2701 before, but yesterday, every time my husband connected the cable from his laptop, it would interrupt signal of the ENTIRE home network. I've never heard of this happening before, and neither has the tech that came out today.
So after correcting signal issues to three unused jacks in our house (we had four, but only use one for the DSL and home phone, and one had a messed up wire), we tried connecting. It worked fine until my husband plugged his laptop into the modem. Then it went down again.
So I called the tech back, told him what was happening. He came back, bringing a new ethernet cable and decided to try replacing the modem too. He replaced it with the 4111N (he was supposed to give us the Motorola 3347, but grabbed the wrong one I think; it was a last second thought, so no biggie).
We can both connect again now, but it seems like it may be a little slower... is anyone else slowed down from the switch from the 2701 to the 4111N?

I just installed this 4111N modem yesterday, immediately noticed a slower performance over the old MOTO unit, which i was bridging through the Netgear 600 W Router.

I was recently given the 4111n by ATT because ever since I was given the 2701hg-b I have had nothing but issues with dropped signals and ATT wouldn't fix it so after 2 years it stared getting worst a dropped signal every few hrs for 10-15 mins at a time. I have only been on the 4111n for 2 days but performance with it has far surpassed the 2701 No dropped signals as of yet and speed is much faster than before. But I can not find any info on the gateway it self on either ATT or the pace website.

I continually have slowed and dropped signals with this model. It has been replaced twice under warranty and I have spent an eternity on the phone with tech support over several months. Today, I ordered service from another internet provider. Thanks, Att& T.

I have had mine drop out about 4 times in the last couple months. Each time I have to completely reinstall everything just like it was the first time I ever set the modem up. A very frustrating and time consuming problem. There must be some solution to this.
