Here's the problem:
I have a 2WIRE modem/router in my basement that I just had ATT replace. I have a wireless E4200 linksys in the office which is connected to the 2WIRE downstairs. I have an ethernet port in my gaming room which is hardwired to the linksys in the office.
I want to know the best way to set this up for wireless capabilities but also to play XBOX. First I need the 2 routers to work properly together. Maybe set the linksys up as a WAP? Whichever way would get me the best and fastest connection to my XBOX is the way I want to go. I've read about bridging one or the other, but I've spent countless hours on this and to no avail.
Anyone have a link to a step by step process to setup my router as a WAP or if there is a better option you would think is better then please let me know. I've also thought about having ATT come out and move my modem to the office. I think that would solve a lot of issues but that is my last resort.
Reason being is when I play Madden online hardwired to the Linksys, connection is good but it's choppy. I hardly ever lose a connection mid game but the play is choppy to where if I play directly plugged into the modem in the basement, play is as smooth as could be. So I know it's something and I think I can solve it without moving my modem and without setting up my gaming station in the dungeon.
PLEASE HELP me as I've lost hours of sleep and I hope we can resolve this today.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I will need more information.
- Uverse or DSL?
- 2wire model
- Current connection type between 2wire and E4200. Ethernet or Wireless?
