How do I config both the AT& T modem and the TV set top box to work off of the one cable in my room? Both are to be wired, I have one tv and a computer to use in the one room.

If you have Uverse TV and internet, and you have the Uverse gateway, a set-top-box (STB), and a computer in one room, it's just a matter of connecting the STB and your computer to the gateway with ethernet cables.
If you need help with that just ask.
