Don't bother to call ATT for the code. I just tried and they won't give it up - claim to have an exclusivity arrangement with BB. Seems a bit over the top considering my phone is more than 4 years old. Same story on my wife's 2 year old Torch. Others who are thinking they're going to use their BB's overseas better get used to paying ATT's "International Package" rates since there's no way they are going to buy a cheap local SIM card.
Thanks ATT, may I please have another?

Yes it is a monumental waste of time to call AT&T. They used to unlock phones, have friends that did it about a year ago but today I was on phone for at least half hour. Called twice, hoping next person would be better informed. At the end they gave me the spiel about the global international plan etc. etc. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
ANYWAY...I went out on a limb and shelled out 3 bucks for ebay vendor that gives codes and amazingly it worked beautifully! Was very skeptical but ended up THRILLED. Will save me beaucoup money overseas. (The ebay vendor I used was kudozunlocks if you are interested. There are also others of course. He only does the Blackberry 9000 series Bolds it appears.)
