I've never used ezunlockcodes.com, but I've called AT&T and T-Mobile to unlock about 10 phones. All the reps I talk to confirm that the device is paid for, and if the user wants it unlocked, they will provide the instructions and the unlock code. They were a little concerned to assist with a newly purchased phone, but once I reminded them that I'm under contract, and therefore I would have a hefty fee if I left AT&T, that one rep agreed to unlock my phone with me. All these unlocks were free to me (they were all on different phone numbers). It seems like ezunlockcodes.com charges. I guess I'd use them if my carrier wouldn't help me though.

You must be liiving in a different ATT universe than me. I recently called to unlock a BB Bold and a BB Torch, both out of contract, and ATT refuses to give up the unlock codes. They quote an exclusivity agreement with BB. I quess that's what my 20 years of telephone, wireless and internet service gets me - nothing!
