New OS for 9810

Hey,

I have seen that almost every other carrier that sells the  9810 has released OS 7.1 for the torch 9810.  Why hasn't ATT, anyone know when it will be released?  I want a phone that is up to date with all the new features that can be offered, why is ATT holding this back?  I enjoy being with AT T over other carriers, but not having the newest software is hurting that image.  Anyone else looking forward to getting 7.1 on their BB 9810?

And, no, no one knows why AT&T won't release 7.1.  Other than the guess that it enables the phone's wi-fi hot-spot feature and they don't want that to happen without a way to charge you extra for it.

I manaully updated my OS instead of doing it OTA...which AT&T won't do, as previously mentioned. I would suggest downloading it and isntalling it with Blackberry Desktop Manager, like I did... the wifi hotspot works great!

yeah, each carrier releases an OS after "testing" against their system.

Go to BlackBerryos.com and have a look around. There you can find out how to download and install the most current OS for your 9810 from the carrier that has it, even if it isn't AT&T, and you will not void your warranty in doing so. It's wicked cool having the ability to get the latest OS without the bloat ware. 

Im not saying to get rid of this AT&T forum cuz this place iscvery friendly, but it's nice to check out other forums.
