Bold 9700 picture thumbnail removal

When I remove pictures from my picture folder (that is stored in my storage card), some of the thumbnails of the pictures are not removed. And when I click on these thumbnails no image is displayed, and an error message saying "Unable to display file ..." is displayed on the screen. This happened when I deleted several pictures one after the other (like when I deleted 6 pictures back to back).

How do I delete the thumbnails of pictures that are already removed?

After you delete the pictures that you want to remove from your device, try do a battery pull for 20 seconds and see if that helps.
