Blackberry Curve 8900 Service books

I bought a Blackberr Curve 8900 from T-Mobile and unlocked it to work on at&t. I use a prepaid sim card in my phone because i generally only text 6,000 times a month haha. I wanted to download the Facebook for blackberry application on my ohine but it doesent work. I also have the 100 MB internet service on it. I can log onto the internet fine, but i cannot get to facebook mobile application. I have it installed on my phone but when i try to log on it tells me service could not be contacted because a data service is unavailable. Could you please help me? Thanks

first do you have a bb data plan you need this for bb device's if you don't have it then it explains your issue.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the Face Book App. might need to go through Rim servers, which you will not get being a prepaid customer, and only having the 100MB "Media Net" data plan on your account......... When I had my BB 8310 on prepaid Go Phone, I used Face Book, by downloading the Bolt Browser, and logging into FB from the link that is already there.........

The OP is using a BB device on prepaid, so he/she would not be able to have a BB data plan.
